Bubbly Cup began as a dream fueled by resilience, passion, and a love for sharing moments of joy through delicious drinks. The story starts with us—Sanat and Eunice Gabdyssamet—husband and wife, partners in life and in business.
When life took an unexpected turn and we both found ourselves at a crossroads, we decided to take a leap of faith. What started as a humble bubble tea pop-up at the Queen Square Farmers Market quickly blossomed into something much bigger than we could have imagined. Every Sunday, we poured our hearts into crafting each cup, sharing not just drinks but a little piece of ourselves with every customer.
The community’s support was overwhelming. Families, tourists, and curious locals kept coming back, making our stall a buzzing weekend spot. Their encouragement—and the many times we were asked, “Do you have a permanent shop?”—gave us the courage to dream even bigger. In just a few months, we took the leap to open our very own café in uptown Saint John. Nestled on the historic and charming Prince William Street, Bubbly Cup isn’t just a café; it’s a space for connection, comfort, and creativity. Here, we blend the vibrant flavors of bubble tea with the comforting warmth of specialty coffee, paired with globally inspired baked treats that we’re proud to call our own. Our journey is a testament to the power of community, hard work, and never giving up on your dreams.
